F.A.Q.
Here are some of the most common questions I've been asked. Feel free to contact me with ANY other questions you may have!
How Far Out do You Book?
It depends on the season! May-October tend to be more full of weddings and senior photo sessions, so it's wise to book your shoot as early as possible! Around the holidays I also tend to book up with family sessions-However, I recommend taking these photos earlier than decemeber to ensure you get your images in time to mail out your christmas cards!

Q2:
How Long til I Get My Photos?
I ask for an average of 30 days to complete your disc for most sessions, but I generally post some highlights on Facebook within the first few days after your shoot. (If you "Like" my page and friend me I can tag you so your friends and family can see these, too!) Weddings take a little longer due to the volume of images that need to be processed, so I ask for 90 days before I release your disc. If it's off season for weddings you will likely get it much sooner! I can put a "Rush" on processing for a small fee if you're under a time crunch, but these are my average times.
Q3:
What does a shoot with you Cost?

What Should We Wear?
For family portraits, I recommend coordinating colors and patterns (as opposed to matching). For all portraits, I recommend against spaghetti strap shirts or t-shirts. Clothing should be well-fitted to you and something that you feel comfortable in-these are YOUR photos, so your outfit choices should reflect your personal style! If you would like additional input on what to wear, feel free to contact me!
Q4:
What Times are the Best for Shooting?
Before 10 am or after 4:30pm are optimal lighting for outdoor shooting. Weddings obviously don't always fit within that timeline but I try to work within the brides schedule to ensure some beautifully lit portraits on either side of the ceremony. Indoor sessions are more flexible.
Q5:
I Love Your Work, but I'm on a Tight Budget...
I have two thoughts on this:
1: How much do you value family/wedding/senior/baby portraits? These will outlast your wedding dress, your memories of the event, your yearbook, and before you know it your baby will be walking and talking. Having professional portraits done is a precious gift you can give yourself and your family.
2: I am a single mom and know what it is to be on a tight budget. I value my work and my time and hope you will too, but I am happy to create a custom package that fits within your budget. I offer military and single parent discounts and I also offer an awesome referral program where you can earn credit towards your session just by sharing me with friends!
Q6:
What is Lifestyle Birth Photography?!
I love taking photos of the precious moments before and after (and tastefully during) a baby's entry into the world. There are so many details that moms miss, such as the cutting of the cord, the weight and measurements, first bath, footprinting, Dad's first reaction, etc, and together they make a beautiful story of your child's first moments. I try to stay as unobtrusive as possible and only take photos of what you want to remember. This can include introducing your new little one to other members of the family as well.
What is a "First Look"?
A "First Look" is a beautiful mini-session right before a wedding where the bride and groom are allowed to see each other for the first time. This allows for raw emotion, as well as some intimate time together before the demands of the ceremony begin! These are some of my favorite photos to take, and are often some of the most memorable!
